Are your cars imported from Japan?

Yes — Lal Auto Japan sources many vehicles directly from Japan. Each imported vehicle is checked for condition, mileage and documentation before being listed. Direct imports from Japan help ensure better build quality and transparent vehicle histories.


Do you sell brand-new and used cars?

We offer both brand-new models (selected makes) and certified pre-owned vehicles. All used vehicles undergo multi-point inspections and come with documented service history where available.


Can I sell or exchange my current vehicle?

Yes — we provide trade-in and vehicle exchange services. Bring your car for a free valuation and inspection; we’ll give a competitive offer which you can use toward your next purchase. This process is fast and handled by our experienced team.


What inspections and guarantees do you provide?

Every used vehicle is subject to a multi-point inspection covering engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and body condition. For many listings we provide a written condition report. Selected vehicles may include a limited warranty — check the car’s details or ask our sales team for specifics.


How does financing work?

We partner with local finance providers to offer flexible payment options. You can apply for finance through us and we will help with documentation and eligibility. Typical requirements include proof of income, ID and vehicle information. Contact us for a tailored quote.


Do you help with registration and paperwork?

Yes — we assist with vehicle registration, transfer of ownership, customs clearance (for imports) and other required paperwork. Our goal is to make the purchase process smooth and worry-free.


Can I arrange a test drive?

Absolutely. Arrange a test drive by contacting us or booking online. Please bring a valid driving license and ID. If the car is off-site, we’ll coordinate a convenient time and location.


How long does delivery take after purchase?

Delivery times depend on whether the car is in stock locally or is being imported. For in-stock vehicles we usually arrange delivery within days. For direct imports, expect additional lead time for shipping and customs — we’ll provide estimated timelines during purchase.


Are prices shown inclusive of taxes and fees?

Displayed prices are usually the vehicle price. Taxes, registration, customs duties (for imports) and other fees may apply. We provide a full cost breakdown before finalizing any sale so you know exactly what to expect.


Can I get support in Sinhala or Tamil?

Yes — our team can assist in English and Sinhala. If you prefer Tamil, we will do our best to accommodate or arrange translation support where needed.
